Mens Bowls
EMBC MEN’S BOWLING NEWS
The annual bowls presentation night held on Friday 16th Dec. Was a great success. Major award win-ners were:
- Bowler of the year: Aron Sherriff
- Most improved bowler of the year: Duncan Moore
- Pennant player of the year: Allan Quinn
Entries for 2012 championships close on 31st December.
Entries for the 2012 zone fours close on 3rd Jan. 2012 & the zone pairs on the 10th Jan. 2012.
Pennant trials are currently being played—players should check board for teams.
First round of pennants will be played on 3rd March.
Major/minor night pairs will be played from Tuesday 14th—Friday 25th Feb, 2012. Enter at bowls office.
Womens Bowls
The annual presentation for ladies bowls awards were as follows:
- Encouragement award: Kerry Butler
- Club person of the year: Margaret Lowden & Ann Blair
- Most improved: Bev Foan
- Bowler of the year: Lauren Williams
Lauren Williams & Tracy Ward won the district pairs.
Daphne Lowe, Suzanne Murphy & Maureen Kerr won the district triples & they went on to play in the state play offs.
